Jane Case-Smith, EdD, OTR/L, FAOTA (1953–2014), was an educator, researcher, and leader in pediatric occupational therapy. Case-Smith’s research focused on the effectiveness of occupational therapy and neurorehabilitation therapies for children with cerebral palsy and translating evidence-based practice to occupational therapy services for children with developmental disabilities. She was the editor of the widely adopted textbook, Occupational Therapy for Children; served as editor of OTJR; contributed to more than 20 book chapters; and had more than 100 peer-reviewed publications during her career.
