Sally Ryan, COTA, is an occupational therapy assistant leader who has received various awards her service and leadership. She has authored several texts focusing on COTA practice and issues, including the first book for COTAs, The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant: Principles, Concepts and Techniques, and various chapters for Willard and Spackman’s Occupational Therapy. Ryan has been active in AOTCB leadership and also served on various AOTA task forces. She is a retired member of the occupational therapy faculty at St. Catherine University (formerly College of St. Catherine).
