Cordelia Myers, MS, OTR (1915–1978), served as editor of AJOT, which she moved from describing programs and interventions to publishing data-based articles. She used her editorship to promote the building of the body of knowledge of occupational therapy by publishing only high-quality articles and contributing to a science-driven profession. After being commissioned as a lieutenant in 1947, she served in the U.S. Army Medical Specialist Corps, including two tours of duty in the Office of the Surgeon General, until 1968, when she resigned.
