Jeanette Bair, MBA, OT, FAOTA, was Executive Director of the AOTA National Office from 1987 to 1999, managing the office in a time of tremendous growth in the profession. During her tenure, AOTA purchased and customized its first weekly news magazine, OT Week; published its first monthly practice magazine, OT Practice; and developed self-help guides for clients and the Special Interest Section newsletters. She was instrumental in establishing the TriAlliance of Health and Rehabilitation Professions (OTs, PTs, and SLPs) and the North Atlantic Alliance of Occupational Therapy Associations and in developing public relations campaigns for the profession.
