In November 1995, AOTA published the first issue of OT Practice magazine. Heralded as “your
newest member benefit,” the letter from the executive director and AOTA
president said the goal of the magazine was to address very specific practice
needs for occupational therapy practitioners.
That first issue included articles about taking charge of
your career and practical ways to develop accurate treatment goals and
objectives.
One feature article was about how to make the Internet work for
you, which included information about an AOL chatroom for occupational therapy.
