Five schools are accredited jointly by AOTA and AMA:  Boston School of Occupational Therapy (now Tufts University); St. Louis School of Occupational and Recreational Therapy (now Washington University School of Medicine); Western Michigan University; Philadelphia School of Occupational Therapy; Milwaukee-Downer College (now Lawrence University), and University of Toronto. The Kalamazoo State Hospital School of Occupational Therapy (now Western Michigan University) is tentatively approved. AOTA publishes the Bibliography on Occupational Therapy, which, although printed by the Department of Occupational Therapy at Essex Mountain Sanatorium in Vermont, is the first publication to carry the Association’s name besides The National Register.
