Lucy Jane Miller, PhD, OTR, is a prolific author and researcher in pediatric occupational therapy and founded the first comprehensive sensory processing disorder research program. She has developed 7 well-standardized assessments, including the Goal-Oriented Assessment of Lifeskills (GOAL™). As founder and executive director of the first comprehensive SPD research program (Star Center), she has received over 30 grants and awards. She is the author of 2 books and more than 60 articles and chapters in scientific and professional journals and textbooks. Miller has developed a national mentorship program and has been instrumental in stimulating the discussion of evidence-based intervention for children with SPD.
