The occupational therapist helps this man use adaptive devices to complete activities of daily living.

The occupational therapist provides adaptive equipment to train this man recovering from stroke to return to activities of daily living. Through occupational therapy, individuals recovering from stroke learn to care for more of their personal needs independently; compensate more effectively for loss of sensation and vision; may resume independence in home, work, and leisure activities; and often benefit from adaptive equipment and environmental adaptations.
